The month of August was filled with vibrant hues as Quezonians celebrated the Niyogyugan Festival. The Kapitolyo lit up with eye-catching lights and artistically crafted booths located at Perez Park housed locally made coconut by-products from various towns of Quezon province. A parade of colorful floats and dancers in costumes gave the spectators of Lucena a wonderful scenario to watch.
But behind all the colors and artistry lies the true meaning of the festival. "Niyogyugan" Festival, a celebration of the tree of life and the courageous hearts of Quezonians to protect the coconut industry.
